Fresher – IIST has presently opportunities for research in the following areas and invites applications for Senior Research Fellows (SRF) and Junior Research Fellows (JRF) to work in the following projects.

Senior Research Fellows Numerical simulation of turbulent reacting flows in semi-cryogenic and tri-propellant engines M.Tech. in Thermal Sciences/Propulsion Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering.
One year research experience (could be at M.Tech. level) in Computational Fluid Dynamics is desirable. 3 Years
Junior Research Fellows Development and feasibility study of Polymeric Scaffolds for tissue culture under micro-gravity M.Sc. in Chemistry.
NET/GATE qualified.
Specialization or research experience in Organic Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry is desirable. 3 Years
Junior Research Fellows Nano composites for electronic and photonic applications M.Sc. in Chemistry. Experience in polymer science is desirable.
M.Sc. in Physics. Experience in *photonics is desirable.
NET/GATE qualified. 4 1/2 Years
Qualification: First class with minimum 60% marks in M.Tech/ M.Sc and 65% marks in BE/B.Tech.

Age limit: 28 years as on 15-1-2009 (SC/ST/OBC/Persons with disability are eligible for age relaxation as per rules).
