Description
Corporate Finance Market Analysts provide support primarily for bankers within the Investment Bank. Support extends to internal reporting for senior management using external sources for creating MIS on the Capital Markets and M&A area.
The team integrates horizontally and vertically to support MIS teams and across products in the IB. The team role will support the operation on a global basis with the emphasis on analysis of the MIS produced by the team as well as ongoing development of reporting and ad-hoc data retrieval. The role will be responsible for the development of one team member in Mumbai who is responsible for the BAU production of reports.
Required skills
n Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to learn how to use performance metrics and financial data to effectively create and analyze IB performance metrics
n Good business judgment, particularly the ability to accurately assess requirements and operational capacity in order to adjust resources appropriately
n Develop and maintain relationships with multiple locations and levels of the team, to advance departmental objectives and ensure that team has the resources necessary to meet client and senior management needs efficiently and effectively
n Detail oriented with superior interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
n Strong skill level and proven ability in number crunching problem solving and creating reports in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Universe building, preferably in Business Objects will be an added advantage to the applicant
n Knowledge of Dealogic and Thomson SDC is required
n Experience with automating processes and reports is preferred
n Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required
n Ability to function effectively and professionally within a high pressure, time-sensitive environment, being open to the needs of the operation which may impact job requirements and/or working schedule
n Ability to function effectively in a shift working environment
Responsibilities
Reporting and Business Analysis
n Develop internal client reporting beyond the current state and provide analytical insights to identify trends, issues and opportunities
n Assist in the production of daily/weekly/monthly and other periodical report decks for regional and global management
n Serve as a key resource for ad-hoc MIS creation
Experience
n Experience and understanding of market data is preferred
n Experience and understanding of investment banking or other corporate environment

Education: Masters/Bachelors degree in any discip
