POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is for a Senior quality assurance engineer, testing a .Net based web application.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include working as a Senior Quality assurance engineer on assigned projects. Interaction with developers is required.
Desired Candidate Profile
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
1. B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./MCA in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field, from a reputed university with an aggregate of at least 65%.
2. 4-7 years relevant experience.
3. Good Analytical skills to extrapolate information and troubleshoot problems.
4. Experience on creating test scenarios and test cases from functional specifications.
5. Hands on experience in different forms of testing (especially testing web based applications/ASP testing), certifying and validating supported browsers, certifying and testing new browsers.
6. Experience testing Enterprise-level commercial applications.
7. Experience working with defect tracking and configuration tools.
8. Knowledge on SDLC, STLC, Defect lifecycle.
9. Back end data verification and validation (especially SQL).
10. Excellent communication skills.
11. Able to work independently and able to coordinate onsite and offshore teams.
12. Willing to travel to the USA on a needs basis for short trips (up to 3 months) if necessary. Recurring travel is not expected.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
1. Knowledge on performance, load, stress testing or functional test automation.
2. Certified tester e.g. Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) or Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA).
3. Exposure to HR Domain a plus.
4. Should be team oriented, able to work in a dynamic environment, proactive, and a quick learner.
