Job Description
â Senior Logistics consultant, with strong PP background.
â Functional scope of the mission :
o QM module : quality inspection at goods receipt from purchase order and from production order. Inspection plans, inspection lots, inspection points, result recording, usage decision.
o CS module (or PM module), mainly with many specific Z transactions : managing equipments that are production tools (PRTâs). Buying them, producing them, reworking them, planning and recording their usage in production., sometimes invoicing them to customers. Equipments, measuring points, functional locations, service orders, purchase orders, production orders, documents (DMS), classification.
â Context : European roll-outs for our customer, initially in Switzerland. The template solution is already implemented in one site with ECC 6.0 (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, CS, WM, HUM â handling units are important, as well as variant configuration), BI, APO (PPDS, DP, SNP), XI and an external MES that is interfaced with ECC. The product structure is represented by very complex master data in ECC.
â Duration : from 11/8/08 to at least 30/4/09, with possible extension to mid-2011 in several European countries
â Location : Belgium and Switzerland
â Mission details :
o Take over the knowledge of a consultant whom you will replace.
o Within a team, inform Swiss key users about the whole template solution (Academy in Brussels)
o Within a team, proceed to a fit-gap analysis in Switzerland, with the objective to limit the number of change requests to a strict minimum.
o Participate to the customizing and documentation effort (in Brussels) and help structuring the documentation
o Prepare and execute IT integration tests
o Prepare user acceptance tests, help key users to execute them
o Finalize training material as needed, and make sure that key users have the appropriate knowledge to train themselves the end users
o Participate to the final preparation, go-live week-end (end March 09) and initial onsite support.
â General characteristics :
o Able to work (speak and write) fluently in English
o Team spirit
o Clear and precise (going directly to the point)
o Able to investigate in some SAP areas where he is not really expert
o Able to write developments specs
o Able to talk with key users in a positive way (finding solutions instead of seeing problems).
Not very heavy on configuration but should be able to communicate very well with Senior Business Managers to define the requirements and analyze the current configuration.
1st Phase of the deal is to start ASAP (3-4 week of August) to April 2009 and if we are successful then upto April 2010
