Do you want to work on the most important mission critical system that is the backbone for Microsoft’s internal transactional infrastructure? As a member of this advanced team, you will play a key role in the providing 24×7 system support of Microsoft’s SAP business systems by ensuring the highest levels of availability, reliability, and recoverability. As a Technologist on our team you will be directly responsible for SAP Basis administration, upgrading these systems to new versions of SAP, Windows and SQL Server beta versions and provide crucial feedback to development groups. As a member of SAP Technical Services your responsibilities will be to manage resources, lead others, coordinate and contribute to all activities associated with supporting the high visibility Enterprise Application Services systems at Microsoft’s Redmond campus. You will provide technical expertise and drive the implementation of automated monitoring solutions that alert and provide valuable availability metrics.

· Passionate about proactively monitoring systems (SAP, SQL, Network, OS, external components). Enjoys and excels at conducting performance analysis, advanced troubleshooting and capacity planning.

· SQL Performance Tuning and Optimization: Can identify poor performing queries, recommend code changes and index solutions.
· SAP Basis Administration: Use your in-depth SAP Basis skills to resolve a wide variety of technical issues, manage configuration, and maintain performance.
· Can identify, document, develop and implement automated monitoring and alerting solutions.
· Work closely with Management, Application Support, Development, Test and Project Management to find solutions, work through problems, and implement new projects, while building good rapport.

Requirements/Qualifications
Previous Work and Related Experience (including educational requirements):
Degree in Computer Science or related field
Minimum of 4+ years of SAP experience
2+ Years experience with one or more of the following development technologies: C++, C#, VB, HTML, t-SQL
Skill Set:
4 to 6 years experience with SAP applications and technologies
4 to 6 years experience with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable DBMS
High technical experience with Microsoft Windows operating system or equivalent
Understanding of complex systems architectures, SDLC methodology and information systems development.
Knowledge of IT security vulnerabilities and processes to harden valuable IT assets against same.
Completion of one or more Microsoft Certified Professional exams or equivalent
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision making skills
