Main duties/responsibilities of the role:
The person should work in tandem with development teams situated in the United States and United Kingdom and Singapore.
The duties involve Development and Maintenance of Java Applications written for J2EE environment (BEA’s Weblogic), Production Support, Unit Testing of the System Components, System Integration Testing, Assisting UAT’s, preparation maintenance of test regions, test cases, testing tools. Also include writing technical specifications, documenting system features, procedures, practices etc.
Special Circumstances:
The person should be willing to work in shifts to interact with the user community and development team situated in USA and UK.
He/She also should be willing to travel to US or UK to work with the users and developers stationed there.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education and professional qualifications:
Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum 5 years of IT experience.
2-3 years of experience in working with distributed applications written in Java.
Experience in J2EE applications using Weblogic, Websphere etc utilizing J2EE features such as JMS, EJB’s etc.
Languages: Java, XML, SQL, JSP, JDBC
Environments: Linux, Unix
Databases: Oracle/Sybase
Middleware: JMS, MQ Series
Desired requirements:
Working Experience in Financial Institutions, espeicailly Broker Dealers involving trade processing such as Validation and Enichment, Street Side Processing
1-2 years of C++ experience.
