oSA&BD provides ongoing actionable strategic insights, strategic advisory and project management support to market heads and product managers to help them evaluate and develop major business growth opportunities. It also conducts advisor effectiveness programs to support the origination in achieving their growth ambitionsoICA is one of 6 units within SA&BD. Its specific role is to monitor and analyze the global wealth management industry, and competitor trends and developments, in order to provide actionable insights which enable GWM&BB to make better informed strategic decisions oICA operates globally, with teams in Zurich, UK, US, and APAC, and the ISC will essentially form an extension to the Zurich and US teams
To build on the existing center which develops knowledge related to wealth management and Business Banking with regard to market developments, the regulatory environment, the competitive landscape, and products and services, in order to support decisions concerning the future development of UBS’ global wealth management and business banking (UBS GWM&BB; business banking includes retail and business banking) strategies.
The main responsibilities are to:-Manage, coach and develop a team of analysts-Quality control and be accountable for the team’s end deliverables-Conduct research and analysis on market developments (i.e. size, client needs, structure, segmentation), the regulatory environment (i.e. tax reforms, EU regulations, money laundering), the competitive landscape (i.e. strategy, product and service offering), and products and services, in relation to the wealth management and Business Banking industry-Identify key industry trends and competitor best practices and assess their implications for UBS GWM&BB -Build financial models to assess the potential of WM & BB markets and products-Benchmark financial performance and strategic positioning of key competitors relative to UBS GWM&BB-Produce regular market/competitive intelligence reports for the GWM&BB organization-Monitor activities of key competitors, including pricing and merger and acquisition activity-Work in project teams with ZH/US, supporting development of business cases and recommendations for UBS GWM&BB internal business partners-Prepare powerpoint presentations which form the basis of communication with internal business partners
Desired Candidate Profile
